J.M. Allain

President & Chief Executive Officer

J.M. Allain joined Trans-Lux as President & Chief Executive Officer in February of 2010. Mr. Allain has a background in global systems integration, marketing and sales management for enterprises ranging from start-ups to multi-national companies. He has established experience in a number of technology-driven industries, including data communications and telecommunications.

Mr. Allain holds an MBA in International Trade and Finance, as well as Bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration and Systems Engineering.

Angela D. Toppi

Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer

Angela Toppi is responsible for the company’s Accounting and Finance operations and oversees its Human Resources function. She also serves as Treasurer and Secretary for the company.

Ms. Toppi earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Iona College, New Rochelle, NY, and holds a CPA certificate from the state of New York. Prior to joining Trans-Lux in 1986, she was with Deloitte & Touche, LLP, for five years.

Jeff Knapp

Executive Vice President, Sales / CMO

Jeff Knapp leads the company’s marketing and sales with the objective of increasing market performance through new strategic initiatives with key partners and clients. He is also tasked with restructuring the sales and marketing organizations to enhance business activity.

Mr. Knapp holds a BA degree from Yale University and an MBA from the Stern School of Business at New York University.

Drew Aldrich

Chief Strategy Officer

Drew Aldrich has a strong financial and operational background gained in the public and private sectors. His primary responsibility is to implement a comprehensive restructuring of the company’s financial and operational activities that will enable Trans-Lux to move forward with renewed strength.

Mr. Aldrich has a BA degree in Economics from the University of Rochester.

Thomas Mahoney

Senior Vice President, Sales

Thomas Mahoney is responsible for overseeing the domestic and international sales efforts of Trans-Lux’s indoor display division. He joined Trans-Lux in 1967 and has held a series of positions of increasing responsibility within the company, including Assistant Vice President of Outdoor Display Sales and Distributor Networks, Eastern Regional Sales Director and Vice President of Financial Sales.

Mr. Mahoney attended New York University’s School of Business.

Karl P. Hirschauer

Senior Vice President, Engineering

Karl Hirschauer is responsible for the company’s engineering research and development activities, as well as providing the critical function of interfacing engineering with to meet customer needs. Mr. Hirschauer also provides product development assistance to the Company’s subsidiaries that produce outdoor electronic display products for the commercial and sports markets.

Mr. Hirschauer holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Haven.
